This project was the first project that we worked on with putting an image onto another one. The top picture was the original one that I chose. The picture was from our spirit week: Wakiki Wednesday and was taken in our school. The bottom picture is the edited one. I decided to do a beach background to fit what we were all wearing. The first thing I did to start this project was I emailed myself the picture and I opened it up in adobe photo shop cc 2014. Next while I was in photo shop I took the magnetic lasso tool and outlined us so I will be able to transfer it over easier. The following thing I did was I opened up the background picture of the beach, then clicked the move button, and I finally transferred us over to the beach. As soon as I transferred the picture I immediately hit the rectangular marque tool, right clicked on free transform, and sized the picture to fit perfectly with the background image to make it look more real. The last final touch I had on this image was to take the eraser and clean up any spots that did not belong or did not look right. For example my friend had a backpack on so I edited it out and looks as if it was never there. Something that I have learned from this project was how to edit and move a picture onto another picture to make it look real.
For this project we had to create two album covers. One album cover was of our choice of song and artist and the other album Mr.Adams chose for us. My choice of artist and song was Side to Side by Ariana Grande which features Nicki Minaj. The song is about Ariana Grande not caring that her friends do not like the boy that she is currently with but she is going to stay with him anyways. For the front of the album cover I put a picture of her holding up the sign that says Side to Side. She had a tiara on so I figured that a castle was necessary as her background. For the back side of the album we had to put the lyrics on it. We also had to add in three brushe strokes. The brush strokes i chose were marble, leaves, and fuzzy polka dots. i also chose the pink to match the font color on the front.
For the second album I was given the song Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. I have heard this song in the past and I have really enjoyed it. The song is about the girl he is in love with hurting him and not giving him her all and just tearing him completely apart. We had to at least apply 10 pictures to our collage and thats exactly the amount I did. The reason I chose the pictures I did because I would read the lyrics from the song and if I saw an image in my head from what I read than i would add that image. For the back of the album cover all that was exactly mandatory was the lyrics, but I felt the brush strokes had to be added in to give it some emphasis. I added in almost the same brush stroke that I did for the Ariana Grande album just because I like it so much. It was marble underneath, but then I covered most of it up with blueish purple leaves. Something I have learned from this project is how to add in more brushes from a very cool website and how to form a collage with photoshop. |
This project was a t-shirt design that had to go with our last project which was an album cover. We were able to chose from which album we did so therefore i chose to do the first album which was Ariana Grande and the Dangerous Woman Tour. What I first did was I got a picture from google of Ariana Grande and one of her album pictures from a photoshoot. Then after that I cropped the picture to put it on the album and after that i colored the entire thing in light pink to be able to give her the pinky shade too. Finally as I was glancing at the album i felt as if it was misisng something and that it was to plain. So I decided it needed a black heart to go around her. I got a pic from google images and reshaped and smoothed out the splatter from it and placed it in the album. The last part that I had to add was the text part of the project. I listed Dangerous Woman Tour 2016 and put it in 36 size font and a nice bold and broad font. Something that I had learned from this project is how to add in text through photoshop to make it not look pixelly.
